1. Acquire and use effective strategies and disciplinary techniques for dealing with inappropriate attention-seeking behavior.

2. Recognize each child in family for unique strengths and abilities.

3. Siblings express acceptance and affection toward the attention-seeking child.

4. The attention-seeking child views self as an essential and valued member of the family.

5. All family members understand and accept that recognition and affection are family resources that are given in response to appropriate, respectful behavior.

6. Quality time and activities are experienced and appreciated by all family members.
