Directions

• Cover the interior and exterior of the box with paper or paint. This will give the shrine a nice backdrop for decorating.

• When the glue and/or paint has dried, start gluing the memory items into the box. The child can assemble these items however they desire.

MEMORY SHRINE

• When the shrine is all decorated and complete, hang it on the child's wall or place it somewhere special. You can even use recycled mint tins and matchboxes to make "pocket shrines"!

Nana enjoyed many activities and passions depicted in this shrine—Bingo, rose gardening, feeding backyard birds, baking oatmeal cookies, and going to performances at the local theater. Some of Nana's items from her sewing supplies were also added, including ribbon and buttons.
