Antidote Optimism Hopefulness Joyfulness

"What's the point of trying?"

Dear Dr. Borba,

My wife and I are becoming increasingly concerned about our eight-year-old daughter. She's such a pessimist. No matter what the activity, she assumes she'll do miserably. It's almost as though she sets herself up for failure. It doesn't seem to make much difference what her mom and I say or how hard we try to convince her otherwise. Jenna just focuses on the doom and gloom. What can we do to help her be more optimistic and hopeful about life?

Bad Attitude Act Out
