If you are a single parent, it's even more important to build a support system, ask for help, and find ways to get time for your own needs. You simply can't do it all by yourself.
Involve your child's other parent whenever possible—for overnights, for weekends, for summer vacation, in discussions about how you should handle all aspects of your child's growth and development. Involve other people—relatives and friends who love your child and are willing to help. Trading off with others is a wonderful solution—you both give more and you both get more.
