Sometimes the only cure for melancholy is to look for simple beauty in the world. While I was trying to deal with my feelings this week I decided to walk around and look at the world around me. It turns out New Jersey isn’t nearly as ugly and gray as I first thought it was.

Ooh, nice pictures, Scylla!!
We went to a nursery with my wife and my little one, and I took many pictures, but I used my cellphone, so I don’t think they’re going to look too good…
Here is my post. Have a great week!

Ooo…that second one of the dogwoods is beautiful!
(New Jersey is only ugly in Newark and the surrounding areas…but as someone half raised there, there are plenty of beautiful spots there!! Don’t give up hope!)

Those are great! Did you go to a botanical garden or are those from around the neighborhood?
I’m sorry you’re still grey. : (

Great shots! I guess NJ can’t be all bad, afterall it’s named the Garden State! And gardens are typically not gray and ucky.
Hope things are better this week…
